From Idea to Interactive: My First Time VibeCoding
I never considered myself a coder. But I’ve always been a builder—and lately, I’ve been curious about how low-code and no-code tools can unlock more creative possibilities. So when I had the idea to build a quiz that helps people figure out which Women x AI membership tier is right for them, I decided to try something totally new: Vibe Coding.
Spoiler alert: it was so fun. It was also totally doable—even for a first-timer like me.
What Is Vibe Coding?
Vibe coding is my take on creative, intuitive, beginner-friendly coding. It’s less about syntax perfection and more about energy, experimentation, and building something that feels like you. Think: prototyping with heart.
The Women x AI Membership Quiz was the perfect project to test this out—it had purpose, personality, and needed a little ✨vibe✨ to come alive.
Why Bolt?

I used Bolt, a powerful yet super approachable platform that makes it easy to spin up interactive web apps without the traditional complexity of frontend frameworks. Think smooth animations, responsive design, and quick deployments—all from your browser. No setup headaches. No gatekeeping. Just build and preview. The Bolt + vibe code combo gave me exactly what I needed: freedom to experiment, a visual feedback loop, and a final product I was proud of.
The Women x AI Membership Quiz
The goal was to help users explore which Women x AI membership tier best matches their:
✨ AI goals
⏳ AI skill level
💬 Desired contribution
So I had Bolt create three clear, thoughtful questions, each with meaningful responses and dynamic logic behind them.
And the best part? It actually works. I tested it with friends in the community, and the feedback was great!
What I Learned as a First-Time Vibe Coder
Start with the vibe, then layer in logic. I didn’t worry about making it perfect—I just went. I asked for what I wanted and when it wasn't right I asked in a different way. Using those prompt engineering skills to collaborate with AI to build my vision.
Tools matter but so does understand what you've built. Bolt removed so many barriers. I could focus on the experience, not the scaffolding. It helped me build when before I would have been stuck. But at the end of the day I didn't really know how I had built what I built. I ran out of free Bolt credits so I had an engineer friend explain how my code worked to me.
It felt a lot like building a GPT. You just ask for what you want and go back and forth with the AI and see the output of the code's result in preview. Of course when you're ready deploy and check to make sure it looks the way you want in production.
You don’t need to be an engineer to build something impactful. You just need curiosity, a clear intention, and time to explore.
