What Dessert Best Represents WOMEN x AI? We Asked AI… Then Co-Created

At WOMEN x AI, we’re always experimenting at the edges of technology and creativity. But even we didn’t expect a simple, delicious question to spark such a thoughtful exploration of identity, values, and human-AI collaboration: What dessert best represents our community?

We turned to generative AI for a fun (and mouthwatering) challenge—with one rule: the humans stayed in the loop every step of the way. WOMEN x AI would be best represented by a layered pavlova with fresh seasonal fruit, edible flowers, and a surprise center of spiced ganache.

Here's why:

• Crisp on the outside, soft and complex inside – like WxAI, which shows up boldly in the world of AI, but is deeply thoughtful, collaborative, and driven by purpose.

• Layered textures and flavors – representing the diversity of thought, background, and expertise across the community: technologists, founders, creatives, investors, and change agents.

• Topped with vibrant fruit and flowers – a nod to the visible leadership, color, and joy that women and allies bring to the AI conversation.

• A center of spiced ganache – unexpected, bold, and powerful—like the way WxAI pushes boundaries in AI ethics, innovation, and inclusion.

• Pavlova's origin story – debated between Australia and New Zealand, which adds a playful nod to global collaboration and the importance of multiple narratives—something WxAI champions in AI discourse.

This dessert is beautiful, intentional, and unforgettable—just like WOMEN x AI.

🍰 Round One: The Elegant AI Surprise

Our first prompt to the model resulted in a layered pavlova—crisp on the outside, soft and complex inside. Topped with edible flowers, figs, mangoes, and a surprising spiced ganache center, it felt beautifully aligned with our mission:

• Diverse layers → just like our community of technologists, creatives, researchers, and entrepreneurs

• Unexpected flavors → bold ideas and inclusive leadership

• Beautifully composed → intentional design and impact

🥧 Round Two: The Bold, Bright Remix

Next, we asked the model to try again—with a twist. This time, we wanted something equally complex, but with a different form factor. Enter: the fruit tart.

A golden crust. Lush cream filling. Fresh figs, mango, berries, edible flowers, and chocolate swirls. Visually stunning, powerfully layered—and grounded in a strong foundation.

The tart felt like a perfect metaphor for the WOMEN x AI ecosystem:

• Structured yet flexible

• Rooted in substance

• Layered with voice, color, and perspective
  

🤝 Why This Matters: Human-in-the-Loop Creativity

This playful experiment reminded us of something deeper: even the most advanced models are tools, not oracles. They reflect what we put in, echo our biases, and require tuning. That’s why keeping humans in the loop—especially diverse humans—is essential.

WOMEN x AI is building a future where:

• Creativity is collaborative

• AI is guided by values

• Representation isn’t decorative—it’s foundational
