We are thrilled to feature Kee Jones, Founder and CEO of RESET, in this week’s Women x AI Spotlight! Kee’s journey into AI is a beautiful reminder that there’s no single path into this world of innovation and transformation.
From Crafting to Creative Technologist
Kee’s AI journey is anything but traditional. She often jokes that she entered the AI space “with a hot glue gun in one hand and a planner in the other.”
Starting out as a planner and educator, Kee’s passion for crafting, stickers, vision boards, and lesson plans became the foundation for a creative, tech-driven career. Her first breakthrough moment came when she discovered MidJourney, a generative AI tool that allowed her to bring her visions to life instantly.
“Suddenly, I could create the images I’d only dreamed of—beautiful Black women, Black girls in armor, STEAM-powered coloring pages, and holographic Afros with purpose. No more waiting on designers; just my vision, brought to life.”
This opened the door for Kee to see the potential of AI for creatives, educators, and changemakers—showing that AI isn’t just for coders.
Teaching the Next Generation
Today, Kee is using AI to inspire and educate the next generation. She teaches her granddaughter and kids in after-school programs how to build with AI, nurturing their curiosity and empowering them with tools to dream bigger.
Through RESET, her organization, Kee uses AI storytelling to help women heal and rediscover themselves. Her work focuses on future-forward content that centers representation and purpose, creating spaces where people feel seen and valued.
“AI is powerful, but it gets even better when we bring our full selves to it.” – Kee Jones
Kee’s Top 3 Game-Changing AI Tools
These are Kee’s go-to tools for creativity, storytelling, and impact:
1️⃣ MidJourney – Bringing visionary ideas to life through visual storytelling.
2️⃣ Canva AI – Designing accessible, professional content with ease.
3️⃣ NotebookLM – Organizing and connecting ideas to build powerful narratives.
Advice for Those Starting Their AI Journey
Kee encourages anyone starting out in AI to begin with what matters most to them:
“Start with a problem you truly care about. AI becomes purposeful when it solves real problems.Ask yourself:• What do I love doing?• Who do I want to help?• What do I wish I had a tool for? Then explore how AI can amplify that passion. For me, it has always been about helping others.”
Her perspective reflects a deep truth: AI isn’t just about technology—it’s about people, problems, and possibility.
Mentors and Inspirations
Kee credits many incredible women for inspiring her along the way, including:
N. Liberty White
Noelle Russell
Stefani Quarles
“All these beautiful ladies are just three of the many women who light my path.”
A Message to Women in AI
Kee’s work goes beyond building technology—it’s about changing systems and shaping legacies.
“As a woman in AI, I don’t need permission—I need partnership and collaboration.Don’t just celebrate my strength, support my rest.Don’t just amplify my voice, act on what I say. We’re not just building tech. We’re building transformation.”
Kee’s journey is proof that AI is for everyone—no matter where you start. Her vision inspires us all to bring our full, authentic selves to the work of innovation and to build a future where technology heals, connects, and transforms lives.
