This week’s #WxAISocialSaturday was all about connection. Hosted by Meg McWilliams, COO, 2x founder, and community builder at the intersection of technology and human connection, the session introduced the Women x AI community to a new kind of networking.
Partnering with Gossip Goblin, an AI-powered matchmaker, the event generated 135 one-on-one introductions—sparking conversations, collaborations, and friendships across the globe.
Women x AI teamed up with Gossip Goblin to host a virtual networking event powered by AI matchmaking. Hosted by Meg McWilliams, the session sparked 135 new 1:1 introductions and thoughtful community conversations about connection, technology, and creativity.
About the Host
Meg, based in San Francisco, is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where technology strengthens human connection. Her work with AI agents focuses on introducing people to the right connections at conferences and events—an approach that came to life beautifully in this session.
Community Highlights and Takeaways
The event wasn’t just about meeting new people—it was about how we connect. Members shared their favorite apps, go-to icebreakers, and even dream dinner party guests, sparking lively discussion and laughter.
Here are some standout moments:
On icebreakers:“What brings you here? Or what are you hoping to get out of <event name>?” – Jenny Kay Pollock
On AI tools:“ChatGPT without a doubt. People complain about it, but it's as malleable as it is the mind guiding it. I upgraded to ChatGPT Team... and won’t look back.” – Reut Lazo
On community energy:“ Gobby is the networking upgrade we didn’t know we needed, intentional, efficient, and actually fun. Loved seeing real connections happen!” – Hope Khoury
Members also shared lighthearted moments, like debating whether they’d rather face one horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses, showing how playful prompts can spark unexpected connections.
Why It Matters
Networking can often feel transactional, but this event proved that with the right mix of AI matchmaking and human curiosity, we can create connections that are meaningful, inclusive, and even joyful.
As one member reflected: “Everyone has something to say. And that’s the point—to get people’s perspective, figure out who you align with, and who you might want to collaborate with.” – Tara Thompson
Closing Thoughts
At Women x AI, we believe in amplifying women’s voices, building bridges, and making the AI space more inclusive for all. This Social Saturday showed how technology, when thoughtfully applied, can deepen—not replace—human connection.
We’re grateful to Meg, Gossip Goblin, and every community member who shared, laughed, and connected with us.
